By 2025, AI will have written a surprising share of the worldās code
When I first read this headline, I had mixed feelings. But today, itās become fairly common, and Iām confident itāll soon be completely normalized.
A recent survey found that 91% of developers now use AI to generate at least part of their code, and on average, programmers attribute 28% of their output to AI assistance.
That got me thinking. AI is writing more code, better and faster than ever. Iāll admit, itās incredibly usefulāfor me, and undoubtedly for the entire developer community.
AI-generated code is here, and it’s being integrated into our software at an astonishing pace.
Still, as time goes on, itās worth asking: whatās the cost of this new programming āsuperpowerā?
